Legendary pop and R&B band Earth, Wind & Fire will perform its electrifying hits at International Pow Wow's "Hooray Los Angeles" closing night party on April 25 at California Plaza's Watercourt in Downtown Los Angeles. 

Earth, Wind & Fire is considered one of the most important and innovative contemporary pop and R&B music forces of the 20th century.  The band has had a remarkable and celebrated career spanning over four decades,  with 20 GRAMMY Awards nominations and six GRAMMY trophies as a group.  In addition, each of its founding members (Maurice White and Philip Bailey) has won two GRAMMYs.

EWF has recorded eight No. 1 R&B singles and eight double-platinum, Top 10 pop albums over its career.  The band has earned more than 50 gold and platinum albums and has sold over 90 million albums worldwide, earning a place on the list of best-selling music artists.  

EWF's career achievements have been acknowledged and have earned the band a place in music history:  EWF has been inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2000) and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (1995) and Hollywood's Rockwalk (2003).  That same year, EWF received the Vocal Group Hall of Fame Award.  The music industry and fans — including ASCAP, NAACP, and BET — have bestowed Lifetime Achievement honors on the band. . The American Music Awards awarded the group with four distinguished trophies.  And VH1 ranked EWF No. 60 on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of Rock & Roll."
