Only 2 hours away from Tokyo, Kinugawa is an area surrounded by rich natural scenery. From early June, the area becomes an adventurer's haven, where individuals can enjoy rafting, canyoning and other water activities.
The Kinugawa River is particularly famous for its natural beauty. From early summer, various water resources provide an abundance of water activity opportunities.
One of the most well-known attractions around the Kinugawa area is the river rafting, which let you glide along the river and enjoy the scenic valley, an attraction always popular with tourists. You can take on a new challenge and splash into the Kinugawa River's clear waters and coursing river valley.
Furthermore, from 21st of July to the 31st of August 2018, you can also participate in canyoning — diving into waterfall pools and gliding down rocky slides. This allows you to truly experience the great outdoors, viewing waterside nature at a leisurely pace along the deeply liberating atmosphere of the river.
Nature Adventure Outdoor Club (NAOC), the first rafting operator in Tochigi prefecture, provides a safe and family friendly water activity experiences over the years. You can take on the Kinugawa River challenge while passing through cascades and waterfalls in the NAOC's 3-hour tour with the family.
