Whether you fancy showy annuals, non-indigenous perennials or ponds filled with water lilies, Eagan, Minnesota is the place to stop and smell the roses. Four gardens are available to visitors, either through private tours or public access from June through September.
Scherer Delight, 1535 Cliff Road Since the 1950�s Scherer Flower Garden has welcomed visitors to six acres of more than 50,000 colorful annuals. Owned and maintained by five generations of the Scherer family, the gardens are the picture perfect place for outdoor weddings and special occasions.
Caponi Art Park & Theater in the Woods, 1215 Diffley Road Deer and fox, rabbits and birds are just some of the daily visitors to the 60-acre Caponi Art Park. On selected weekends, performers can be seen on the large brick stage that comprises Theater in the Woods. The park is open daily for walking and hiking along the wooded paths. Lutz Railroad Garden, 2960 Egan Avenue A model train careens around shrubs and over waterfalls in this unique backyard garden designed by Eagan resident Bud Lutz. In addition to the beautiful blooming plants, the yard contains several trees and items from around the globe. Open houses are scheduled Sundays during the summer. Forsman Estate Water Lilies, 4640 Dodd Road Lilly, a big shaggy English Sheep dog, chases the rabbits among the ponds on the Forsman Estate in Eagan, MN. She�s careful not to disturb the Koi swimming in the ponds, sheltered from the mid-day sun by giant water lilies.
