Mr. Denis Thouvard, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr A.L. Claude Benjamin Perera to Resident Manager, effective immediately.  Mr Perera joined Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket in March 2014 as a Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage.

Mr. Perera, a Malaysian national, brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the hotel industry for over 25 years. His experience includes time at Hyatt Hotels across the world in the role of Director of Food & Beverage in locations such as Indonesia, Singapore, Russia and Thailand. 

Mr. Perera holds an NTC-2 Certificate in Food & Beverage and he speaks fluent English and Bahasa Malay.

In his new position, Mr Perera's responsiblities include overseeing and managing the functioning of the resort's 6 superb dining outlets, including: award-winning Italian restaurant La Trattoria; Ruen Thai Royal Thai cuisine restaurant; the beachfront Casuarina Beach Restaurant and Pub, the all-day dining venue Laguna Café; the Poolside Café and Horizon Lounge. He is also responsible for overseeing the Kitchen, the Sports & Activities department and other areas assigned by the General Manager.
