Dubai Tourism

Sixty two UAE nationals have been selected by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) for its 2007 summer training programme which started on July 1 and runs until August-end.

The DTCM Executive Director Human Resources and Training, Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, said the popular programme attracted UAE national students from high schools and universities.

Haneen Abubaker, DTCM Director Training and Development, said the department organized a familiarization tour for the summer trainees to provide insights into the DTCM, its various policies and programmes and training programmes for the employees and the hospitality industry.

A visit to SkiDubai is also planned in addition to exposing them to the tour guides programme that the department conducts.

They have been provided with DTCM staff manual and other literature.

A questionnaire has been prepared to ascertain their feedback to the summer training programme.
