On Monday 3rd October 2016, chefs from all over Great Britain took part in the launch of The Great British Cookbook and Drakes is proud to have had Head Chef Andy Vitez selected as one of the celebrated Chefs to represent the South East Region of the country.
Chefs travelled from north to south of the UK to come to the prestigious venue of Le Cordon Bleu, who sponsor the cookbook. Around 140 people including chefs, press and representatives of both chosen charities.
The book, which is all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospitality Action, showcases a wide range of chefs including Drakes Chef Andy Vitez alongside Simon Rimmer, Michael Caines, and Rachel Khoo to name but a few.
“ I am honoured, as Head Chef of Drakes of Brighton restaurant to have been asked to be one of the Chefs representing the South East region in this prestigious cookbook. It means a great deal to me to also support the Macmillan Cancer Support in this way.” says Andy.
