Dorchester Collection has unveiled its newly redesigned website, bringing all ten individual hotels together under its brand domain, mirroring how Dorchester Collection collates landmarks of individuality under one umbrella.
Created in a magazine-style format, the site includes links to various social media platforms. This provides a live stream of constant communication from Twitter, Facebook, Google+, TripAdvisor, Pinterest and Instagram outlets. New to the site for instant communication is a private 'Click and Chat' facility.
Incorporating a responsive design, the site resizes itself depending on which mobile device it is downloaded from. It is available in English, French and Italian, and from January 2014 Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese will be added.
Helen Smith, vice president of sales and marketing for Dorchester Collection, states: 'The new Dorchester Collection website incorporates the latest technology with a centric brand approach. The site is easily navigable and provides more informed choices, enabling the very best service from when we first connect with a guest.'
The new website allows guests to book all Dorchester Collection properties from one central point through five clear steps, simplifying the entire booking process. This multi-property booking engine allows guests to choose how they prefer their search to be filtered and provides a clear comparison between room styles using images, detailed descriptions and rates, with downloadable factsheets and floor plans.
The online reservation system gives access to all hotel outlets including restaurants and spas. Guests can create personal accounts where all booking details will be stored for future reservations for additional ease. The recently launched Dorchester Collection eGift Cards are available 24/7 via the site with a choice of value ranging from £50 to £2,000. These can be sent directly to the recipient for any occasion and are ideal for last minute gifts.
The new site will highlight the hotels' destinations, providing guests with a virtual concierge service conveying 'What's On', 'What's Hot', and 'What's New', as well as current temperatures in each location. Visitors to the site will find feature pages on topics including Michelin-starred restaurants, spas, and seasonal content. The dedicated weddings site will include digital video content where guests can share their wedding videos, inspiring future couples with the variety of locations and venues offered by Dorchester Collection.
In addition, within the Dorchester Collection website there will be a 'Careers' page providing prospective candidates with details on all opportunities, and featuring a wide variety of success stories from 'Our People'. Eugenio Pirri, vice president of people and organisational development, comments: 'This is a great way of strengthening the Dorchester Collection future and celebrating the incredible achievements of our talented individuals across the Collection.'
