A survey of 2,000 people has revealed that the traditional Christmas is still very important with nearly 90% of Brits spending time with family this year. However, it seems that the British public is concerned about spending time with the in-laws, with 50% saying they would like to have space and 20% would like to send their in-laws to a hotel. With one in five people spending time away from home and a third travelling more than 100 miles to visit family and friends, a good bed, big breakfast and creature comforts came high on the list of requirements for a happy Christmas.
