Dive into swimming with Olympians Keri-Anne Payne and David Carry

Dispel memories of learning to swim in cold municipal pools with an exciting Swim Retreat run by Olympians, Keri-anne Payne and David Carry, in the crystal clear, warm waters surrounding the beautiful Caribbean island of Nevis.  The retreat runs from 21-28 March 2018 and will be based at Nisbet Plantation Beach Club – the only historic plantation inn in the Caribbean to be set on the beach.

The retreat is for swimmers of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned swimmers, looking to improve their swimming in both the pool and the sea and to tackle their next swimming challenge.

Pool work will focus on swimming technique focusing on breathing, body position and propulsion. Sessions in the sea, will be aimed at improving open water swimming skills with Keri-anne and David passing on their knowledge of sighting, buoy turns and swimming in groups.

The highlight of the week will be the opportunity to participate in the annual cross channel swim between Nevis and its sister island St Kitts.

The retreat is limited to a maximum of 20 so that Keri-anne and David can spend time with each participant.  At a 'Dinner with Olympians', Keri-anne and David will share stories from the six Olympic Games they competed in including their experiences, setbacks and inside stories.

Each participant will have a personalised experience and receive one-to-one coaching from Keri-anne and David.  In addition, they will come home with a personal plan for continued improvement.

The days start with yoga-inspired beach warm ups followed by sessions in the pool or sea.  Through the week, Keri-anne will provide nutrition guidance while David will talk about performance planning.

The rest of the day is left free for participants to relax on the beach, explore the rest of the island or the sea or try other activities such as mountain biking, hiking, sailing, diving or horse riding.

In the final few days there is the chance to join Keri-anne and David for a special 'sea safari' so explore the sea around the island and there is an additional option to join an excursion to meet local people in small bars serving local drinks and foods.

Prices for the retreat start from £2460 per person, based on two adults sharing a Superior Room, on a bed and breakfast basis with the Champion's Welcome dinner, including return flights with BA from London Gatwick to St Kitts, water taxi transfer and the swim package.  Book with Tropic Breeze (www.tropicbreeze.co.uk, tel:01752 880880).
