For the fourth consecutive year, Indonesian Weekend is coming to London's Potters Fields Park, next to Tower Bridge! The UK's largest festival of Indonesian culture, Indonesia Weekend celebrates the archipelago's fantastic culture, food and fashion, with this year's edition taking place on September 7th and 8th.

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture and the Indonesian Embassy in London, among others, each year Indonesian Weekend has flown over authentic Indonesian chefs, musicians and dancers for a weekend of family-friendly activities and celebrations, with thousands attending the free event.

Open 11am to 9pm on Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sunday, Indonesia Weekend 2019 will offer visitors the chance to discover some Indonesia's rich flavours and best dishes, including satay, rendang, nasi goreng, bakso and many others. The performances by renowned Indonesian dancers and musicians, including one Indonesia's biggest bands of recent times D'Masiv, will ensure that guests experience a taste of Indonesia's colourful culture.

Other immersive elements include a '180-degree photo booth' with the idyllic Balinese temple Pura Bratan as its backdrop and interactive musical performances, where visitors can join in as they are handed authentic Indonesia bamboo instruments.

Deputy Minister for International Tourism Marketing II - MoT, Nia Niscaya stated: “Indonesian Weekend creates a strategic moment to introduce and promote Indonesian Tourism through a range of cultural and sensory wonders. Once again, this exciting event aims to increase awareness of Indonesia's travel experiences, not only to British travellers, but also to the thousands of international visitors who visit one of London's most iconic tourism attractions”.

Creating a tantalising taste of Indonesia, Indonesian Weekend is the perfect springboard for travellers looking visiting the diverse and exotic country.

For those that cannot make Indonesian Weekend, there's another fantastic opportunity to discover the authentic flavours of Indonesia with the launch of Sticky Mango's Taste of Indonesia 11-course tasting menu, which features Peter's interpretations of Indonesian regional cuisine, following his immersive visit to Bali in July this year. Celebrating chef Peter Lloyd's love of Indonesian cuisine, the menu showcases the flavours and styles of the islands from Barbecued Sea Bass Wrapped in Banana Leaf inspired by West Javan 'Pepesan; to Balinese special cuisine. The special tasting menu launches on September 6th and is available until the end of October. Sticky Mango is located at 33 Coin Street, London, SE1 9NR. www.stickymango.co.uk
