When travelling along the Pacific Coast Highway between Brisbane and Sydney take a detour along the Waterfall Way with the help of a useful guide developed by Tourism New South Wales as part of the Touring By Car program.
The glove-box sized practical guide to the Waterfall Way offers a detailed itinerary featuring a number of suggested places to see and stop along the way. On the reverse side is an easy-to-read large print map of the scenic drive highlighting all attractions and accredited Visitor Information Centres in the area.
The Waterfall Way is a 191km scenic drive that climbs westward from the east coast of New South Wales, south of Coffs Harbour, to Armidale in the New England Tablelands via Bellingen and Dorrigo.
The scenic drive offers no less than 13 spectacular waterfalls, World Heritage listed National Parks, numerous deep gorges with breathtaking lookouts, wilderness bush walks, great trout fishing locations, a bird-watchers paradise, historic villages and much, much more.
Each section of the Waterfall Way is outlined in the Touring By Car guide including an overview of attractions, views and things to see and do in the area. The guide also includes a list of handy �Road Safety�, �Water Safety�, �Bushwalking� tips and ten interesting and unusual facts about the Waterfall Way and surrounding areas.
Using the guide travellers can take the time to discover and explore the immense natural diversity along the Waterfall Way from pristine coastal beaches and lush tropical rainforests, through to the open vistas of the New England tablelands.
Highlights along the way include: The Skywalk at Dorrigo National Park, The Old Butter Factory at Bellingen, historic towns of Dorrigo, Wollomombi and Hillgrove, several World Heritage listed National Parks, LP Trout Hatchery, Armidale and of course the waterfalls.
