MANASSAS, VIRGINIA – Discover Prince William & Manassas, the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Prince William County and Manassas, has aligned with the Fredericksburg Regional Tourism Partnership, Richmond Region Tourism, VisitNorfolk and the Virginia Tourism Corporation to attract visitors by rail to the Commonwealth. The Virginia By Rail alliance encourages those traveling by rail to uncover America's rich history, savor Virginia's fine wines, craft breweries and distilleries, shop and dine in a mix of some of the country's premier shopping malls and outlet centers, and explore iconic Civil War museums, sites and historic downtowns.
Located 30 miles from Washington, D.C. and the gateway to Virginia, Prince William County and Manassas has multiple stops via Amtrak® and the Virginia Railway Express (VRE). Prince William County is home to Civil War battlefields, historic sites, a 25,000 seat outdoor music amphitheater, world-class shopping, entertainment and dining venues, a vibrant agri-tourism scene inclusive of farm-to-table restaurants, craft breweries, wineries and distilleries, and is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with mountains to the West, a forest in the middle, and the Potomac River to the East.
