Whether meandering down leafy trails or wide-open heathland, or getting your adrenaline pumping as you fly through shady woodland and along stunning coastal paths, here are six of Kelling Heath's must-cycle routes to inspire those looking to visit Norfolk:

Weybourne Beach Ride

Distance: 5 miles/8 km

A 5-mile ride along country roads and through the quaint village of Weybourne to see the sea.

Sheringham Park & Town Explorer Route

Distance: 8 miles/13 km

A mix of tracks and quiet lanes on this exploration to the National Trust's Sheringham Park (visit the 40-foot viewing tower), the village of Upper Sheringham, and on into Sheringham itself.

Kelling Coastal Explorer Route

Distance: 9 miles/14.5 km

A quiet off-road route that visits the coast and the village of Salthouse boasting great coastal views. This route has some rougher off-road stretches and a short but sharp climb out of Salthouse.

Holt Explorer Route

Distance: 9 miles/14.5 km

A pleasant ride to the North Norfolk Railway station at Holt and on to the Georgian market town and its country park (9 miles there and back). This route is traffic-free to the station before navigating quiet back lanes into Holt.

High Point & Castle Explorer Route

Distance: 10 miles/16 km

This 10-mile trip is largely on quiet lanes to the (almost) highest point in Norfolk (a truly staggering 275 feet about sea level!). It takes in the atmospheric ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle.

Wiveton, Cley & Glandford Explorer Route

Distance: 13 Miles/21 km (excluding detours)

This ride follows a circular route, passing by two great pubs in Wiveton and Cley, as well as the famous Shell Museum and a river ford in Glandford. Riders can also visit Letheringsett Mill en-route.
