Small group tour specialist Back-Roads Touring has revealed that 50 per cent of its UK guests are now single travellers. With maximum groups of just 18 people, Back-Roads Touring gives single travellers the perfect opportunity to explore European culture with a group of like-minded people. Each tour hosts a mix of single travellers, friends and couples accompanied by knowledgeable tour leaders.
Steve Reynolds, general manager at Back-Roads Touring comments: “It is great to see this increase in single travellers from the UK market; a group who previously may have been reluctant to travel alone or intimidated to travel as part of a larger group. A Back-Roads Tour is a great opportunity for single travellers to explore the UK and Europe, enjoying the company of a small like-minded group of travellers combined with the convenience that everything has already been arranged, even the flights.”
For the first time, Back-Roads Touring will also offer door-to-door return private transfers for all UK summer tours, with the addition of flights and return private airport transfers in Europe for all European summer tours.
Travelling away from motorways, Back-Roads Touring takes its guests off the beaten track – from the smallest town squares to medieval villages bursting with stories. To ensure a personal touch, guests are given the opportunity to stay in charming accommodation and take part in exclusive activities, from local cooking classes to private tours of estates and gardens.
