Small group tour specialist Back-Roads Touring has revealed that 50 per cent of its UK guests are now single travellers. With maximum groups of just 18 people, Back-Roads Touring gives single travellers the perfect opportunity to explore European culture with a group of like-minded people. Each tour hosts a mix of single travellers, friends and couples accompanied by knowledgeable tour leaders.

For the first time, Back-Roads Touring will also offer door-to-door return private transfers for all UK summer tours, with the addition of flights and return private airport transfers in Europe for all European summer tours.

Back-Roads Touring has teamed up with Carolyn Robb; personal chef to TRH Prince Charles and Princess Diana to launch a brand new tour, A Taste of Scotland. Carolyn Robb will personally lead the new five day culinary journey which visits Edinburgh, St Andrews, Ballater, Balmoral Castle and Pitlochry, tasting local Scottish cuisine along the way. This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes Carolyn hosting a private dinner on-board the famous Royal Yacht Britannia.
Germany's Romantic Back-Road to Vienna

Guests have the chance to take in the most spectacular views of the Bavarian landscape, with its stunning half-timbered chalets and splendid castles. The alpine foothills stretching out across the Austrian border form a beautiful backdrop to this tour. Guests will travel on the historic Romantic Road and along the way can learn the art of beer production from a master brewer in Heidelberg and how the famous Apple Strudel cake is made.
Mountains, Lakes & Valleys of Switzerland
Nine days from £2,250 per person, departing on various dates from April to September 2015.
During this tour, guests will travel by mini-coach, boat, and cog railway to the highest railway station in the world. This journey explores some of the world's best alpine scenery and picturesque Swiss towns and villages such as the car free Muerren and Chur, Switzerland's oldest city.
Four days from £850 per person, departing on various dates from May to September 2015.
On this tour, guests can discover the south east of England including Canterbury, Whitstable, Dover and Rye. Guests will visit historical and cultural attractions such as Canterbury Cathedral, as well as peaceful gardens and the White Cliffs of Dover. There is also the chance to taste award winning English sparkling wines and explore 1066 country, made famous by the Battle of Hastings.
Six days from £1,695 per person,departing on various dates from April to October 2015.
The 'slow food' concept involves enjoying food that is good for you, for those who grow it and for the planet. On this tour, guests will have the chance to experience several slow food products as well as other local specialities from quality manufacturers. Alongside tasting delicious produce guests will also discover the beautiful region of Southern Italy, with magnificent castles, cathedrals and palaces.
