A representative from Visit Algarve will be attending IMM London 2024, to meet with key members of the media and to showcase all that the region has to offer. The Algarve is the southernmost region in Portugal, framed by a 200km coastline, and the Tourist Board representative will talk about the lesser known parts of the region, the hidden gems to the award-winning beaches, authentic gastronomy and the range of outdoor activities.

This year, it was announced that for the first time ever Portugal will have its own Michelin Guide. The Algarve as a region has the greatest concentration of Michelin restaurants in Portugal – with no less than eight starred restaurants. Emphasis at this year's IMM will be made on the wide range of culinary experiences available throughout the Algarve – from introducing members of the media to the national dish of Cataplana, to Piri Piri, wine and Algarve's olive oil – as well as the promotion of local producers.

With solo travel increasing drastically this year, they will be showcasing what the region has to offer for those booking a trip alone to the region. The Algarve offers breathtaking experiences and views, with particular interest being made in the rural authenticity of the region – away from the popular beaches and well-known resorts.

The media will be introduced to a range of suggestions, from promotion of the Algarve's secret places in rural areas, to the places visitors can go to relax and unwind, to areas in the region where they can have more of an action-packed solo adventure and see the stunning coastline by foot, bike or surfboard.

Also to be presented at the IMM for 2024 for the media will be the myriad of walks and hikes available throughout the Algarve, which are catered for solo and group trips, as well as for different availabilities.

The rich arts and crafts of the Algarve will also be showcased, such as the pottery, as well an exploration of what the region has to offer historically.
