After its sell-out success last year, Black Star Pastry and Straight To The Source, are teaming up again on more Diggin' for Diamonds black Perigord truffle hunts in the NSW Southern Highlands this winter.
"There are few things in this world that send your brain into meltdown quicker than the aroma of fresh truffles. It's the awe you feel In the presence of a rare and precious diamond, once hidden under the earth but now yours to enjoy."

The day starts bright and early at Black Star Pastry in Rosebery, before hitting the road to Biota Dining in Bowral for morning tea and a guided tour of their kitchen garden. Then onto Yelverton Truffles, home of Australia's largest truffle, for a truffle hunt alongside expertly trained dogs, followed by a cooking demonstration by renowned Black Star Pastry owner and patissier, Christopher Thé.
Next, a truffle-laden lunch where fresh black Perigord truffles feature in abundance: shaved onto hot soup; liberally mixed in freshly-baked quiche and a spectacular truffle-inspired dessert. Lunch is paired with wine tastings from local Tertini Winery, and the winemaker, Jonathan Holgate will be on hand to talk about his award-winning cool climate wines.
