Set sail from Newcastle to Amsterdam this New Year and begin 2018 with real elegance at sea.

DFDS is encouraging customers to book now for the increasingly popular New Year mini cruise to Amsterdam.

The DFDS mini cruise to Amsterdam, offered exclusively to UK customers, includes three nights on board, as the trip captures the perfect view of the Amsterdam New Year's Eve fireworks display while avoiding the busy crowds on the North Sea Canal. It's the seamless way to enjoy Amsterdam for anyone looking for a fresh take on their New Year celebrations.

New Year's Eve offers guests a three course à la carte menu or buffet at the gala dinner, with a pre-paid drinks package that means not having to find your wallet when thirsty. There will be a live performance from award-winning crooner Jason Isaacs, a Newcastle-born jazz and blues recording artist who has performed in New York, Germany and Spain. There will also be festive entertainment, coach transfers to and from Amsterdam, and a full New Year's Day breakfast buffet.

With a day to explore Amsterdam, customers can choose from the vast selection of attractions, including the Rijksmuseum, the Heineken experience, the Van Gogh Museum and the atmosphere of one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

The cruise will depart on King Seaways on 30th December 2017 and will return to Newcastle on 2nd January, with all cabins including en-suite accommodation. The cruise costs £199 per person or £245 for the à la carte package. Bookings require a deposit of £49 and the balance can be settled in October. Bookings are open from now until 1st December 2017.
