Daytona Beach Launches Original American Beach Campaign

Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  - The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has just unveiled its new advertising campaign, based on an award-winning creative pitch by the Paradise advertising agency of St. Petersburg, FL. "The Original American Beach" theme will be incorporated into the destination's marketing materials, website and editorial content.

“Paradise's advertising pitch video really won us over,” says CVB Executive Director Tom Caradonio. “It tugged at our heartstrings and showcased some of the iconic images that make us so proud of the Daytona Beach area.  Through a series of strategic focus groups, we then realized that these images also resonated well with our visitors.  It was an inspiring project to be a part of.”

The final product, a :30 television spot, will be the primary TV spot for the duration of the campaign.  “The reaction to The Original American Beach campaign has been very positive all around,” adds Caradonio.  “The theme and images conveyed are perfect for video, print, and digital applications.  We are frequently hearing solid reviews, and we know that the true test will be in how the new ads attract visitors for overnight stays in the Daytona Beach area.  Through this campaign, we're not only reminding previous visitors to return, but we're also introducing the destination to millions of new visitors who want to experience all it has to offer.”

The TV spot, along with its various print and digital components, will run in key markets throughout Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach – as well as Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and the Northeastern U.S.
