The spirit and energy of boat racing returns to Thailand with the announcement of the second annual King's Cup Elephant Boat Race and River Festival, taking place by the banks of the Chao Phraya River from 28th February to 1st March 2020. 

Teams from around the world will paddle it out with last year's winners, the Royal Thai Navy Seals in specially commissioned boats decorated with artistic elephant heads and tails inspired by traditional Thai fish motifs. Each race takes place across 400m with 4 teams per heat, the first to cross the finish line wins progresses closer to winning the coveted royal King's Cup. 

On land, spectators will be treated to three days of entertainment including, concerts, arts and crafts, fun fair attractions and a wide selection of delicious food and beverages.

Event organisers Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas prides itself on continuously driving efforts and supporting its conservational expertise. Keeping this at the forefront, the annual sporting and society event aims to raise significant charitable donations through ticket sales which will be donated to elephant related projects throughout Thailand while also generating awareness to benefit the future of the Asian elephant.
