Fresh from being honoured as TOP TRAVEL BROADCASTER 2016 by the ASTW in Cape Town South Africa, TV producer/presenter GREG GRAINGER has inked a contract with Dallas and Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureaus to produce a 30-minute international TV special on the US cities.
Grainger and his team will travel to Dallas and Fort Worth in October to film the special, taking in a range of activities, events and characters to demonstrate the cities' rich diversity.
Authentic Texas experiences will be highlighted, from trail riding to taking in the sights and sounds of the Old West at the Stockyards National Historic District and the world's only twice-daily cattle drive.
Texas' rich sporting culture will be brought to life in one of Dallas' biggest football games at the Cotton Bowl, while its amazing culinary scene will be demonstrated by chefs specializing in Southwestern cuisine.
Grainger will be driven at high speed around the Texas Motor Speedway, Home of NASCAR and Indycar action, and watch the rough riders at the Stockyards Championship Rodeo at the Cowtown Coliseum.
There'll be a special feature on the Sixth Floor Museum, scene of President John F Kennedy's assassination, exploring the life and times of the late President.
Dallas' music scene will be explored at Deep Ellum, while the transformation of Main Street will be featured.
The Dallas and Fort Worth TV special will be filmed in glorious super-high quality 4K, and screened across Australia on the Seven Network in November.
