With only a week to go before the 69th anniversary of the D-Day Allied Landings on 6th June 1944, the Normandy Tourist Board is pleased to announce the recruitment of Annie Darling, a student journalist from City University, who has been chosen to travel to Normandy to document her experience of the commemorative events via live Tweets, Facebook updates and articles on the dedicated blog http://normandyddayblog.wordpress.com/
Annie’s D-Day Blog goes live as of today and Normandy’s Facebook fans and Twitter followers will be able to interact with her, asking questions and sharing their experiences from their trips to the region.
Annie’s trip will see her visit iconic sites such as Utah Beach, the American Cemetery in Colleville and the Mémorial de Caen. On top of this she will also join the Normandy Veteran’s Association for a day of workshops and commemorations run by the D-Day Academy.
