Curated Travel Platform Oasis Launches Major Global Expansion

Oasis

Gold-standard in short-term rentals to reach 50 cities in three years as total funding grows to

$7.2 million

New York City, August 5, 2015 – Oasis, the creator of a new category in travel which blends short-term rentals with local insider access and boutique hotel-style service, today announces a major global expansion into five new markets as total funding for the company grows to $7.2 million. With New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona, London and Paris joining its network, world-travelers can now experience Oasis' innovativetake on hospitality and the sharing economy in more than 15 cities in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

Founded in Buenos Aires in 2009 and headquartered in Miami, Oasis offers travelers the means to seamlessly immerse themselves in top cities around the world through a full-service, customizable destination experience. Its carefully vetted marketplace of 1,500 design-forward homes removes the guesswork from short-term rentals, while on-the-ground teams offer 24-7 service. Guests are afforded unique perks through partners such as Glamsquad, curated experiences such as in-home personal chefs, and access to a network of private members' clubs.

The expansion comes as the company completes an angel round of $2 million, bringing Oasis' total funding to $7.2M. The company plans to reach 50 cities in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia by 2018.

“What we're doing, at the core, is helping to remove the divide between traveler and local,” says Parker Stanberry, Oasis' co-founder and CEO. “Modern travelers appreciate both the independence and authenticity of a 'real home,' but also want support on the ground with creature comforts. The convergence of tech and offline hospitality is a winning formula that's filling a void with leisure and business travelers alike, and we're excited to offer our loyal guests new inventory in key markets like Paris and Los Angeles while we look ahead to emerging travel destinations that are also in-need of a unique service like ours.”

The ultimate expression of the company's “Live Global. Stay Local.” ethos is Oasis' private members' club network, to which guests are given complimentary access throughout their stay. Members' clubs include Oasis-run venues The Clubhouse (Buenos Aires) and the recently-opened Clubhouse Rio, as well as partner clubs in Miami, London and São Paulo.

“We think of our members' clubs as a next-generation version of the lobby bar,” said Stanberry. “To have a venue with a curated calendar of social and cultural events, where you can really interact with locals, is something that can have a huge impact on your experience in a city.”

Oasis' offerings create an ideal atmosphere for leisure and business travelers alike. Servicing corporate clients since 2011, Oasis provides an effortless transition for expats and multi-nationals moving employees around the globe due to its ability to accommodate long stays, dedicated account managers for each client, centralized reservations, monthly invoicing options, and additional conveniences that makes business travel in a new city hassle-free. The company expects to host 1,000 guests in Rio during the 2016 Olympics; many of them from corporate clients such as Nike and Visa.
