Alberta has an exceptional array of culinary products, talent, and restaurants throughout the province that constantly please, surprise and delight diners. In October, Ryan Rivard, from Banff, was named Restaurateur of the Year in Western Living Magazine�s Top 40 (Under 40).

Rivard heads up The Bison, �one of Banff�s brightest new eateries,� writes Canada�s largest regional publication in its October issue. Rivard not only champions local ingredients and Rocky Mountain comfort food on the bistro side, but his five years of experience with Cheesemonger, Janice Beaton provides invaluable expertise within the Bison�s successful General Store.

It must have something to do with the fresh alpine air and outdoor lifestyle, but Banff Lake Louise chefs and restaurateurs� professional expertise, and innovation keeps Banff�s local cuisine scene sizzling hot.
