Crystalbrook Collection has appointed Joel Gordon as the General Manager of its first hotel, Riley, which will open in August 2018.

In addition to filling the role of General Manager for Riley, Joel has also been appointed Area Manager, Cairns, responsible for the opening and operating of Crystalbrook Collection’s second and third hotels, Bailey and Flynn, which will open in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

In his capacity as General Manager and Area Manager, Cairns, Joel will oversee a team of more than 500 people across the three hotels.

Speaking on his appointment, Joel said: “I am excited by the potential and growth of Crystalbrook Collection. I’m looking forward to successfully opening each of these multi-million dollar projects and delivering to Cairns best-in-class luxury accommodation.”

Joel has extensive hospitality experience throughout Australia, working in senior positions with Palazzo Versace, Event Hospitality and Entertainment (Rydges and Atura) and Accor (Sofitel).  Most recently Joel was the Hotels General Manager of Doma Group’s Hotel Realm and Burbury Hotel & Apartments.
