Crown Perth staff have spent the last four weeks making donations of clothing, tinned food, blankets and bedding to the Anglicare Winter Appeal to help WA children and families in need this Winter.
A dedicated collection box has been set up in the Staff Dining Room at Crown for the appeal and the boxes are now overflowing with donations of essentials to help Anglicare meet the demand in the colder Winter months.
All goods will be donated to Anglicare WA next Tuesday, 22 July at 11.00am, with a special presentation at Crown Perth attended by staff and Anglicare WA representatives.
Crown Australian Resort's Chief Executive Officer Barry Felstead said he was proud of the support provided by the Crown team.
“Crown Perth is honoured to support the outstanding work of Anglicare WA in our local community. The staff have got behind this appeal for the past 16 years and every year the team shows great generosity of spirit towards those in need,” said Mr Felstead.
Anglicare WA works together with people, families and their communities to enhance their abilities to cope with the everyday challenges they face during Winter and all year round.
“The cost of living in WA continues to rise. Rent, utilities, transport and groceries are a real concern for many people. Anglicare WA aims to build capacity and resilience to see people through the tough times – from surviving to thriving. We appreciate the generous ongoing support that we've had from Crown Perth over many years, and want to thank all the Crown staff who have so kindly contributed gifts for this latest Winter Appeal,” said Mark Henderson, Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, Anglicare WA.
