SULPHUR, La. (April 12, 2016)—Creole Nature Trail Adventure Point is a fun, free attraction along the western gateway of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road, which is geared toward an educational, immersive experience showcasing the culture, food, music and outdoor adventures to be had in Southwest Louisiana.  This summer the interpretive facility celebrates its first anniversary.

Adventure Point offers visitors an opportunity to sample a taste of what they can see and do in the area while interactive, hands-on exhibits highlight the unique estuary system of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road, one of 42 All-American Roads in the United States.

Adventure seekers can literally smell the spices used in the local cuisine and “play along” with a regional band.  There is a stage to play traditional Cajun and Creole musical instruments. Hear the ducks quack and birds chirp as visitors “follow the road” through the colorful dioramas. 

Our professional Adventure Guides are on hand to lend their expertise as visitors begin their exploration of the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road.  They are ready to tell them where to spot alligators or the most opportune times to crab or experience the magnificent bird migration. 

“Adventure Point showcases the beauty and emotional qualities that the visitor will experience along the Creole Nature Trail along with the vitality and culture of the people who live here.  It is a tribute to our land and our people,” said Shelley Johnson, executive director of the CVB.
