Creating an Ediable Forest Garden

Parks Victoria

Edible forest garden created in the Dandenong Ranges

A new permaculture garden in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges is an exciting new venture that includes the region's first ever public edible forest garden.

Volunteer organisation EPIC and Parks Victoria have partnered on the project that aims to inspire, involve and educate the community about sustainable gardening practises that they can use in their own back yard and in their kitchen!

Featuring three acres of vegetable, permaculture and children's gardens within the beautiful George Tindale Gardens, the initiative comes as interest in permaculture and living sustainably within our environment is increasing.

Early projects include an opportunity for the community to sponsor and plant fruit trees to create the new food forest.
