Refurbished bedroom at West Lulworth House in Dorset 27 Mar 2014
Country House Refurbishments Completed For 2014 Season

HF Holidays

HF Holidays, the UK's largest walking and leisure activity holiday organisation, has reopened two of its Country Houses – West Lulworth House in Dorset and Holnicote House at Selworthy in Exmoor – following extensive refurbishment.

Over the winter, the company has updated every bedroom at both properties and undertaken work in the public areas.

At West Lulworth House – enjoying a stunning location with the best views in Lulworth, overlooking the cove in the middle of the dramatic Jurassic coastline – the decor is modern and quirky with a fresh coastal theme that is echoed through the bedrooms.  In addition, a second public lounge has been created and there is also a permanent marquee which will be in place until the orangery is built later in the year.

Over at Holnicote Country House – situated in the heart of a 12,500 acre estate in the Exmoor National Park – each bedroom has been given its own style with rustic furniture being set against a fresh colour scheme of soft greens or calming blues and greys.

Situated in prime walking areas, both country houses are the bases for a range of guided walking and leisure activity holidays as well as country house breaks for independent travellers.  In addition, the country houses offer sociable activities/entertainment each evening for guests.

On the guided walking holidays, for example, there's a choice of up to three guided walks to suit ability and they are graded Easier, Medium or Harder, depending on the walker's level of fitness.

Prices for a three-night guided walking break start from £275 per person, twin-share, inclusive of full-board, the full programme of guided walks, transport to and from the walks, a sociable evening programme and the services of HF Holidays' walks leaders.
