Contiki Hits the Sand and Surf with New 2013-2014 South Pacific Brochure

Contiki Holidays

No one wants to sit on the sidelines, experiencing the world through the status updates of friends. That's why Contiki Holidays (www.contiki.com) has spent the past 50 years perfecting the art of living with no regrets, including a new 2013-2014 South Pacific brochure featuring 22 incredible trips filled with life-changing experiences!

With trips headed to Australia and New Zealand, the new brochure features more Backstage Pass inclusions than ever before, like a 4WD adventure across Fraser Island and a BBQ dinner in the heart of Darling Harbour. There's also plenty of time for clients to explore the destination on their own, which is why Contiki offers a variety of ME Time optionals, like the Sydney Opera House Tour (new for 2013-14) and a catamaran daytrip in the Bay of Islands.

"Contiki is the original adventure travel brand for 18-35's and we thrive on providing unforgettable experiences for young travellers, whether it's the memory of sharing champagne with new friends at Uluru at sunset or the thrilling feeling of swinging 400m over Shotover River," says Kevin Khor, Head of Sales & Marketing, Asia.

"Our South Pacific trips have always been really popular with young travellers because of all the activities featured - this brochure is absolutely packed to the brim with Backstage Pass inclusions, ranging from surf lessons to a Shotover Jetboat ride to a wildlife cruise in the outback."

To kick off the launch of the new brochure, Contiki is offering an Early Payment Discount of 7.5% off for clients who book and pay for their 2013-14 Australia or New Zealand trips by April 30th, 2013* --that's savings of up to US$365 per person!

Reefs & Rainforests
Australia has some of the most epic sand and surf in the world and the 16-day Reefs & Rainforests takes young travellers to all the hottest spots along the west coast. Starting in Cairns and ending in Sydney, this itinerary has guests staying overnight at Fraser Island, Noosa, Whitsundays, Surfers Paradise, Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour. There are plenty of Backstage Pass activities included in the trip, too, like a 4WD adventure across Fraser Island with lunch and drinks, as well as a surf or kayak lesson in Coffs Harbour. In Sydney, travellers enjoy a harbour ferry cruise before stopping for a steak barbecue and in Noosa they'll sit down to an exclusive dinner at the Surf Club and meet a local life saver. There are a couple of Contiki Special Stays on this trip, too, as guests check in to the Langmorn Outback Cattle Station for a true Aussie farmstay and then chill at the Coff's Harbour Surf Village. The ME Time optionals on this 16-day adventure are incredible, ranging from a Great Barrier Reef cruise and diving experience to a kayak tour of Byron Bay's Marine Park to whitewater rafting in Cairns.

The Big Tiki
For one little country, there's so much to see and do, and Contiki's 19-day The Big Tiki shows 18-35's the best that New Zealand has to offer. Starting in Auckland and ending in Christchurch, guests travel from north to south, making overnight stops in Queenstown, Hanmer Spring, Waitomo Caves, Wellington, Rootua, Paihia and Franz Josef. With New Zealand being the adventure capital of the word, there are an endless amount of awesome inclusions on this trip, like a thrilling Shotover Jetboat ride in Queenstown and a hot pool swim in Hanmer Springs. Travellers are also treated to a tasting tour at the iconic Speights Brewery and a zip to the top of the Sky Tower for 360 degree views of Auckland. There are also plenty of adrenalin-rushing optionals for travellers to choose from in their ME Time, whether it's bungee jumping and sky diving in Queenstown or setting off on a hike of Franz Glacier. They can also choose to relax on a fishing trip along Lake Taupo or take in the breathtaking scenery on a cruise of Milford Sound.

Outback Adventure
The 11-day Outback Adventure takes travellers from rugged canyons to lush forests, showing them why Australia's red centre is unlike anywhere else in the world. Departing in Alice Springs and ending on Darwin, this trip goes deep into the heart of Aus, spending nights in Uluru, Kings Canyon, tenant Creek and Kakadu. In Kings Creek, Contiki travellers are treated to a special stay at the Kings Creek Station Outback Bush Camp, where they'll sleep under the stars in a comfy swag. In Kakadu National Park, the adventure continues as travellers take a swim at Edith Falls and keep their eyes peeled for crocs on a wildlife cruise.
And of course, no trip to the outback is complete without visiting Uluru, where Contiki guests will toast to their new travel buddies over champagne as they watch the sun set over 'The Rock'. In their ME Time, travellers can choose from a number of cool optionals, like a hot air balloon ride over the desert at dawn, a camel ride through an outback station and a helicopter flight over Uluru.
