Norfolk, 28 November 2017: Two sumptuous suites are the centrepiece of a romantic treat being offered for Valentine's Day by Congham Hall Hotel (01485 600250; www.conghamhallhotel.co.uk) in West Norfolk.

On the two-night luxury break, titled Suite Romance, guests can choose from the hotel's two premier suites, Dandelion and Achillea, both beautifully refurbished to a very high standard, with breakfast and dinner served each day in the two AA Rosette restaurant. They will also receive a complimentary candle by Elemental Herbology and enjoy one of the following romantic activities:

• The chance to meet and handle some beautiful owls – including snowy, tawny, barn, African spotted and Indian eagle varieties – and find out all about them from their handler, Bradley, from Dawn 'til Dusk Falconry. This will be followed by an afternoon tea for two;
• A one-hour photo-shoot with a professional photographer in Congham's beautiful grounds and Georgian manor house;
• Two treatments from the Essential Collection in the hotel's Secret Garden Spa;
• A full afternoon tea for two, with a bottle of Prosecco.

Dandelion is the honeymoon suite, a luxurious love nest with a bedroom with a king-size bed and freestanding Kurv bath, a supremely comfortable sitting room, a private furnished balcony overlooking the parkland, and an en-suite wet room with rainfall shower. Decorated in shades of teal, Dandelion features 'Larkhall' wallpaper by Colefax and Walker, and flowing silk curtains by Sanderson.

Achillea, on the ground floor, looks out through picture windows to the flower garden. The spacious suite has a bedroom with a king-size bed, a sitting room with two double sofas set around a cosy woodburner, a dressing room, and en-suite bathroom with a double-ended Magnus bath and rainfall shower. The suite is elegantly styled, featuring 'Standing Ovation' wallpaper by Harlequin and crushed velvet curtains by Sanderson.

Suite Romance is worth £900 but is being offered at the reduced rate of £750 per room, based on two sharing, including two nights' suite accommodation, breakfast and dinner each day, complimentary activity, Elemental Herbology candle worth £39, and access to the pool and thermal suite in the Secret Garden Spa. The package is valid from 9 February to 31 March 2018, subject to availability.

Nicholas Dickinson and his team took over Congham Hall in March 2012. The hotel relaunched in May 2013 after completing the last phase of a major refurbishment. Nicholas has spent his entire working life in the luxury hotel business. Early on, he worked at the five-star country-house hotel Chewton Glen and Raymond Blanc's two-Michelin-starred restaurant and hotel, Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. In 1994, Nicholas formed a partnership with Nigel Chapman, who had developed Woolley Grange in Wiltshire. Together, they created Luxury Family Hotels, which soon became the market leader in the UK for luxury family short breaks, and Alias Hotels, for the stylish mid-market corporate and leisure sectors. Both groups were successfully sold, and Nicholas and Nigel went on to develop Martinhal Resort on Portugal's Algarve. This is Nicholas's first independent hotel project.
