This summer, Trevornick Holiday Park in North Cornwall is set to make staying under canvas even more comfortable and cosmopolitan with the opening of brand new family-friendly facilities adding to its five-star amenities and award-winning beach-side location.
Overlooking picturesque Holywell Bay which was voted 'the best family beach' for 2013, Trevornick is one of the few five-star camping options in Cornwall, the UK's 'hippest county' and 2014 will see the park seal its style credentials even further.
To ensure that visitors have all the little lifestyle luxuries they need, the Trevornick team is currently transforming the main courtyard area into a delightfully designer space that all the family can enjoy. With cool, fresh interiors the new look will stay true to the park's Cornish heritage, whilst making full use of the authentic farmhouse buildings offering happy campers every convenience they could possibly need.
The redesign will include a new family-friendly restaurant called 'Fodders', serving up good, healthy food with a warm welcome, with the farm shop and games area both receiving fresh new interiors. Trevornick has also created 'Daisy's' ice cream parlour which will be stocked to the brim with a range of tantalising sweet treats and sorbets; plus a new children's indoor soft play area for little campers to explore.
Trevornick certainly offers a comfortable family camping experience with all the essentials and entertainment covered on site. Virgin campers delight in the convenience of being able to instantly check into one of the parks spacious Eurotents, all fully set up on arrival without a tent-peg in sight. Equipped with electricity to power lights, heating and running water on tap, everyone will feel instantly at home in these cool 'canvas cabins'.
The park takes a continental approach to camping in comfort. Visitors can roll out of bed in the morning and into their flip-flops to head off for a hot shower to start their day in the immaculately clean bathroom blocks. The on-site shop sells hot coffee and freshly baked croissants for campers to take back to the tent for an alfresco breakfast. Trevornick also has plenty to keep families occupied, including a perfectly kept 18-hole golf course with pitch and putt for those wanting to work on their swing. There are also three well-stocked fishing lakes where families can while away the afternoon waiting for a bite.
Alternatively, visitors can relax on the golden sands or surf the waves at nearby Holywell Bay just a short leisurely walk from the campsite. If the sea looks a bit chilly then visitors are able to warm up in the parks year-round fully-heated outdoor pool instead. Children with bags of energy will be buzzing over the 20 rides and attractions at nearby Holywell Bay Fun Park. With great value all-inclusive passes on offer for Trevornick customers, the kids can burn some rubber on the go karts, pan for gold with Cousin Jack and make a splash on the Blaster Boats. Parents are encouraged to swing by the courtyard to sample the onsite musical entertainment in the evening before picking up a takeaway and a bottle of wine to enjoy back at the tent whilst watching the stars start to shine one by one.
Carla Lamb, Trevornick's Marketing Manager said: "Studies show that camping breaks are on the rise across Britain with more families than ever choosing to get back to nature with a happy holiday under canvas. Nothing beats the practicality and affordability of staying in a big family tent on a well-equipped campsite - and now enjoying the great outdoors doesn't have to mean forgoing your everyday home comforts.
"Trevornick is constantly evolving to stay head of these trends to create a home away from home for our extremely happy campers. We're constantly upgrading our facilities and listening to the feedback from our loyal guests, so our 2014 courtyard transformation lends itself more to a stylish hotel complex than to a campsite. We can't wait to see it all finished and welcome this year's guests into our brand new space." Trevornick Holiday Park is currently running an Easter Camping Special where families can enjoy a seven night break from just £99 per pitch for up to 6 people.
