Let the spirit of the Greatest Generation sweep you away this summer when the country's newest monument is unveiled in Washington, DC. "America Celebrates the Greatest Generation" is a 100-day tribute to the heroism of the World War II generation.
At the heart of the celebration is the long-awaited dedication of the National World War II Memorial. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, more than 140 WWII-themed exhibitions, performances, walking tours, restaurant experiences and hotel packages pay tribute to the men and women who served in World War II and on the home front. Music, art, dance, theatre, film and literature will all play a part in the summer-long salute.
