Collection Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (CVSOE) has launched its 2006 gift catalogue in time for Christmas.
The glossy new catalogue offers a range of interesting and unusual gifts and travel accessories associated with the world�s most famous trains � the British Pullman and Northern Belle in the UK, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Europe and the Eastern & Oriental Express in the Far East.
One of the many highlights within the collection is Agatha Christie�s Murder on the Orient-Express as a limited edition of only 2,000 copies. This special edition, traditionally bound with Oxford cloth, is in the style of the original 1930�s publication. The cover has been taken from one of a series of posters commissioned by Venice Simplon-Orient-Express by renowned poster artist Pierre Fix-Masseau. This book is priced at �25 (page 19) and makes an ideal present for avid �Queen of Crime� fans.
To complement this book, the new catalogue features a stylish sterling silver book mark with engraved VSOE logo. The bookmark is priced at �27 (page 6).
The collection offers an array of items designed to appeal to gentlemen. Featuring for the first time is a set of playing cards, in a chic wooden box. The card faces have been specially commissioned to reflect the style of the Orient-Express and the set is priced at �22 (page 20).
The lapis and silver cufflinks with engraved wordings �Venice Simplon-Orient-Express on the silver mount, are the perfect present for that �hard-to-buy-for� man in your life. The cufflinks are priced at �150 (page 15).
The collection also features, for the first time, collar stays. These elegant collar stays are made from sterling silver and are priced at �32 (page 14).
An elegant selection of jewellery is also available, from glamorous necklaces to beautiful bracelets. One new highlight is a stunning pearl and silver �Y� Style necklace designed exclusively for CVSOE by the highly acclaimed Van Peterson. This striking necklace, which features the VSOE logo, is priced at �195 (page 13).
The new Murano heart bracelet is a charming piece of jewellery that will appeal to women of all ages. The pretty bracelet made up of sterling silver hoops has a heart shaped blue Murano Glass charm and VSOE logo to complete the look. The bracelet is priced at �65 (page 13).
The cashmere and lace scarf�s, designed by Asta Barrington, are available in pink, dark grey and light blue. The exclusive scarf�s feature hand appliqu�d lace and are priced at �185 each (page 17).
The collection features a selection of items enabling customers to bring the romance of golden age travel into their home, with accessories and collectables inspired by the Orient-Express. The solid mahogany photograph frames, available in two sizes, feature hallmarked sterling silver corners and engraved plaque. These attractive frames are priced at �120 (6x4in) and �150 (7x5in) (page 7).
New to the collection is a silver plated tea infuser. It is cleverly designed in the shape of a tea pot, complete with saucer with engraved VSOE logo. The tea infuser is priced at �14 (page 23) and makes a novelty gift for tea lovers.
A number of items especially for the younger market have also been introduced. Children will love the pull-along wooden train complete with carriages, engine and wooden hand painted characters. The train is constructed of high quality grade one beech and is priced at �75 (page 20).
