Clymer is Awarded Grant Money

Buffalo Bill Historical Center

Frances B. Clymer, librarian at the McCracken Research Library of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, has been awarded two grants to attend the annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America in New York in April. Clymer's travel and conference participation is paid for by a Carol McMurry Library Donor Advised Endowment grant and a supplemental grant from the Wyoming State Library through the state's federally funded Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).

The Carol McMurry Library Endowment was established in 2000 within the Wyoming Community Foundation to provide support to publicly accessible Wyoming libraries and to advance the knowledge, skills and talents of library employees to better serve residents of Wyoming. The Art Libraries Society of North America was founded in 1972 and promotes the interests of nearly 1,100 members from the professional arenas of visual resources, librarians, artists, curators, educators, publishers, and booksellers among others. Clymer has been employed by the Buffalo Bill Historical Center since 1983 and has held her current position since 1996. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas and holds an MA in medieval studies from the University of Poitiers in France. Clymer also has a master of library and information science degree (MLIS) from Emporia State University, Kansas.
