Ocean Hotels and Tourism is excited to announce that Club Croc Hotel Airlie Beach is nearing completion of its first stage of a refurbishment program, with the completion of all 38 Deluxe rooms by 30th November 2013.  In addition, work on a further 19 Family and Standard rooms, as well as pool and public areas, and guest amenities is also nearing completion before the busy Christmas and New Years period.

Julie Duncan, Group General Manager of Ocean Hotels and Tourism, said "the first stage will see $1million invested in to the property, with further stages scheduled for 2014."

"This is a significant investment for our company, and shows strong faith in both the property, as well as the wider Airlie Beach and Whitsundays tourism market" Julie said.

Specific details of the refurbishment are as follows:

• All 38 Deluxe rooms have been repainted, all new furnishings and fittings, and the majority new bathrooms, with the remainder a soft refurbishment.
• Refurbishment of a 19 Family and Standard bathrooms, as well as full repainting and new furnishings.
• All new pool fencing throughout, as well as the creating of new sandy beach/communal area.
• Rejuvenation of the gardens surrounding the pool and bar areas.
• New lighting, furniture and tiling in the guest reception area.

The second stage of refurbishment is scheduled for next year, where the focus turns to additional Family and Standard rooms, as well as further works throughout the property.
