 Visitors to ‘The Shed’ will relish the relaxed cosy settings in which to enjoy the best of the Cloudy Bay range of wines. The home of Cloudy Bay in Central Otago is nestled on the vineyard that grows grapes for their Central Otago Pinot Noir wine – Te Wahi – which translates to ‘The Place’. French born, Brand Ambassador Marine, describes this wine as being ‘more audacious, darker and earthy’. The cellar door environment is a reflection of ‘Te Wahi’ with its stunning rich dark colour palette, views to the vineyard, lake and mountains, splashes of light complimented by natural relaxed seating spaces.

 The tasting room offers the full range of Cloudy Bay wines to taste and you can also enjoy wine by the glass together with a seasonal menu showcasing local foods. For wine enthusiasts and those wanting a personalised experience, The Shed also offers several ‘private’ experiences hosted by Cloudy Bay Ambassadors.  These are hosted in the light filled private dining space adjacent the cellar door. Guests can mix and match their choice of experience based on their wishes and time available. Options include a tailor made wine tasting, a Vineyard Tour or a Gastronomic Experience with a handcrafted lunch showcasing the best produce of the Central Otago region complemented by Cloudy Bay wines.

Marine Georgelet is Cloudy Bay’s Brand Experience Ambassador and is in charge of all operations at The Shed. You will love her accent and be tempted to test your French as Marine comes from the Champagne region in France. She has been with the parent company of Cloudy Bay (LVMH Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) for four years in France, Australia and New Zealand. She loves Central Otago and is constantly in awe of its beauty. Living here allows her to enjoy her favourite recreational activities of skiing and hiking and her new role at The Shed means she can continue to share her knowledge about the Cloudy Bay family.
