May French Cheeses of the Month
Le French GourMay has landed in Hong Kong, so of course this month's cheese selection boasts authentic artisanal French cheeses paired with wonderful French wines. The soft and rich Pont-l'Évêque (HK$330/400g) boasts a fruity flavour with a nutty aroma, reminiscent of hazelnuts which pairs perfectly with the Famille Fabre L'Instant Pinot Noir IGP 2016 from Normandie. If you prefer goat's cheese, the silky Selles-sur-Cher (HK$135/150g) becomes denser and nuttier after each luxurious taste and pairs exceptionally with the Moulin de Gassac Classic White 2016 from Loire. Lastly, the Ecir de l'Aubrac (HK$120/150g) is indulgently creamy yet fragrant, with exceptional honey notes and a floral rind, especially when married with the Triennes Rosé, Grenache Cinsault 2015 from Languedoc-Roussillon. All wines are priced at HK$68 per glass and HK$308 per bottle.
Monthly French Cheese Dishes
Continuing the French theme, May's cheese dishes feature the Spaghetti Pont-l'Évêque gratin (HK$128), a creamy pasta dish with roasted garlic, wild mushrooms, rosemary and thyme. For something lighter, the Selles-sur-Cher salad (HK$98) is served with poached pear, pine nuts and endive and the Ecir de l'Aubrac
pizzette (HK$98) is the perfect snack, topped with fresh rocket, oven roasted cherry tomatoes and olive oil.

Le French GourMay also comes to the Pawn, with three authentic French dishes and wonderful wines. Special dishes include a starter of Salad Niçoise (HK$178) with perfectly seared tuna, black olives, crunchy French beans and free range egg with a lemon dressing. For mains, try the Baked cod with Ratatouille (HK$288) with fresh cod fish, aubergine, courgette and bell peppers in a seasoned tomato sauce and finish off with a refreshing-yet-sweet Lemon tart (HK$68) with zesty lemon curd, white chocolate ice-cream and crumbly meringue.
From Provence in France, The Pawn's special French wine selection includes the red Triennes, Les Auréliens Rouge, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah 2014 (HK$88/150ml, HK$440/750ml), white Domaine de Triennes, Sainte Fleur, Viognier 2013 (HK$118/150ml, HK$590/750ml) and rosé Triennes Rosé, Cinsault 2016 (HK$88/150ml, HK$440/750ml), to pair perfectly with the French menu items.

A STARRY NIGHT WITH MIXOLOGIST TUNNY GRATTIDGE AT THE PAWN
On Thursday 17th May, Tunny Grattidge our Botanicals Bar mixologist will be hosting an interactive cocktail making class on The Pawn's Rooftop Garden, welcoming enthusiasts to learn how to create a Negroni (Bulldog Gin, Campari and Cinzano Vermouth), a Mango Mojito (Appleton Rum, sugar, mango, lime and mint) and 'The Tucc of Class' (Skyy Vodka, Cynar and Triple Sec). Sip on your creations accompanied by canapés, explore bar basics, equipments, techniques and taste your own drinks as well as learning the history of the spirits and their use in classic and contemporary cocktails.
Come and join the Starry Night to meet Tunny, learn more about the brands and cocktail making techniques whilst indulging in some beautifully crafted cocktails and canapés.

Back by popular demand is The Pawn's DIY Pancake Brunch. For a limited time only, The Pawn's usual brunch comes with the added fun of a special unlimited DIY pancake station, which kids (and adults) love! The Pawn's brunch is priced at HK$498 per person with free-flowing soft drinks, orange juice and smoothies.
