New tickets flash views of Jimi Hendrix, UFOs, prison cells, Lady Liberty, and skyscrapers
New York�CityPass�, famous for its half-price pocket-size ticket booklet in great North American urban destinations, announces 2008-2009 season pricing, new attractions, quirky urban options, fresh coupons and a new city. CityPass 2008 booklets now also contain pages citing destination classics, oddities and one-of-a-kind recommendations from the pages of National Geographic Traveler magazine, the world�s most widely read and trusted guide to inquisitive travel.
Beginning its 11th year, CityPass continues to enhance value and variety among its carefully made selections. Each booklet is designed to introduce first-time visitors and repeat travelers to marquee attractions in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, Atlanta, Toronto, Boston, Hollywood, and Southern California and new this year, Houston, Texas.
Insider tips, maps and transportation directions are included. CityPass� big city booklets are valid for nine days from day of first use. Southern California CityPass theme park visits are valid for a period of 14 days. Houston, Texas is 11th CityPass destination Debuting May 2008, Houston breaks new ground as the first CityPass program in both Texas and the American Southwest. CityPass Houston savings complement Houston�s vacation affordability. Adult ticket booklets are $34 (a $65 value) saving $31; youth, ages 4-11, $24 (a $45 value), saving $21 over the price of individually purchased attraction admissions. Attractions include: NASA�s Space Center Houston�, Downtown Aquarium, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Zoo and two option tickets. The first allows a choice of either the Fine Arts Museum OR The Children�s Museum, and the second Option Ticket offers a choice of George Ranch or The Health Museum.
CityPass Program Updates (4/1/08-3/31/09) New York CityPass ticketholders now have two ways to experience the Statue of Liberty: either from the deck of a Circle Line Cruise (two hours) or via a Statue Cruise to land on both Liberty and Ellis islands for close-up views of the Lady Liberty and the Immigration Museum. Adults, $74 ($134 value); youth, ages 12-17, $54 ($106 value). Philadelphia CityPass introduces a new Option Ticket: Visit the Academy of Natural History or Eastern State Penitentiary, an eerie, 177-year old landmark joining the line-up as a sinister counterpoint to Philadelphia�s history, science and entertainment attractions. Adults, $54 ($101 value); youth, ages 4-12, $37. Seattle CityPass reveals the alternative culture side of The Emerald City�s personality with the addition of Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum. The quirky duo, paying homage to rock and roll legends and out-of-this world lore share an Option Ticket with the Museum of Flight. A new discount coupon shaves $5 off the $39 Savor Seattle food tour of Pike Place Market. Adults, $44 ($82 value); youth, ages 4-12, $29. San Francisco CityPass has a new Option Ticket, offering a choice of either the Exploratorium or the Asian Art Museum. A combo discount coupon for either a bicycle tour across the Golden Gate Bridge OR a GPS-guided Go-Cars tour has been added to enhance the intimate nature of experiencing the city. Adults, $54 ($97 value); youth, ages 5-17, $44. Note: Effective October 1, 2008, when the California Academy of Natural Sciences reopens as a �green� showstopper attraction in its new Golden Gate Park location, adult booklets will be $59 ($118 value); youth prices will not change. A new Chicago CityPass Option Ticket gives visitors an unprecedented choice of skyscraper views from either the Sears Tower on in Chicago�s famous business district Loop, or the soaring Hancock Building Observatory on the Magnificent Mile. Adults, $59 ($115 value); youth, ages 4-11, $49. Atlanta CityPass attractions have been reorganized, introducing two Option Tickets for greater flexibility and vacation customization. The first option ticket gives a choice of either the High Museum of Art OR the Atlanta History Center; the second option ticket features the Fernbank Museum of Natural History OR Atlanta Botanical Garden. Adults, $69 ($119 value); youth, ages 3-12, $49. Southern California CityPass, a collection of premier theme parks, includes Disneyland, Disney�s California Adventure Park, Universal Studios, SeaWorld Adventure Park in San Diego, and a choice of the San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo�s Wild Animal Park. Adults, $247; youth, ages 3-9, $199. A family of four can lop $370 off their California vacation budget. The remaining three CityPass programs are unchanged.
