City Sightseeing in South Africa Awarded 2014 Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence

Citysightseeing South Africa

City Sightseeing South Africatoday announced that its Joburg & Soweto as well as Cape Town regional tours have both received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, businesses must have shown to maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five when it comes to reviews. Additional criteria include a business' tenure and popularity ranking on the site.

“Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a true source of pride for the entire team at City Sightseeing and we'd like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor,” says Claus Tworeck, CEO of City Sightseeing South Africa.

“TripAdvisor is pleased to honour exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence,” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers. From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.”

City Sightseeing, the world renowned and trusted brand that operates the iconic red double decker open-topped buses in over 100 cities across the globe has an active and successful presence in the South African cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as in the vibrant township of Soweto.

In Cape Town, City Sightseeing has been hailed as a global leader in sightseeing and runs two exciting routes, the Red City Tour and the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour – which stop at renowned spots like the V&A Waterfront, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Groot Constantia and Hout Bay.  The City Sightseeing Red City Tour is undoubtedly the best way to get to Table Mountain – one of the internationally recognised New 7 Wonders of Nature.

In Johannesburg the City Sightseeing bus follows a fascinating and ground-breaking route through the Johannesburg CBD that visits stops such as Gandhi Square, the Roof of Africa at the Carlton Centre, the James Hall Transport Museum, the Apartheid Museum, Gold Reef City, the Mining District, the World of Beer, Newtown Precinct, Origins Centre at Wits, Braamfontein, and Constitution Hill.

There is also an exciting Soweto Tour extension on offer that takes visitors to the most culturally rich and historically significant places in the township of Soweto.

Connecting with the City Sightseeing bus is a quick hop on the Gautrain from any of the stations, stopping at the Gautrain Park Station where City Sightseeing has just opened their new Tour Office.  Starting your sightseeing experience by connecting via the Gautrain is highly recommended.

“There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by one's customers. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence,” says Christine Tworeck, General Manager for City Sightseeing Joburg & Soweto.
