Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire has announced savings on selected properties this Christmas, including reductions on an impressive 1850s townhouse in St Davids and a traditional Welsh cottage with sea views.
44 High Street is a superb, Grade 11 listed house, built in the same stone as the nearby St Davids Cathedral. This four-bedroom property (sleeping eight) has been carefully renovated throughout, but retains its beams, stone walls and original fireplaces, one with a wood-burning stove. The house is just yards from the small shops, restaurants and galleries in this tiny city and the beach at Caerfai is less than a mile away. Seven nights from 22 December cost £1098, saving £122.
On the outskirts of the village of Lanrhian and enjoying superb sea and countryside views is Treneved Lodge (sleeping four), a carefully restored Pembrokeshire cottage, full of character with beams and a wood-burning stove. It's a 10-minute stroll to the harbour village of Porthgain and there's excellent walking on the Coastal Path which links the nearby beaches. A week from 22 December is priced at £575, a reduction of £62.
Or, for couples, there is a reduction of £78 at Coed Cottage in Newgale where seven nights from 22 December now cost £456. This cosy property is set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and enjoys views across St Brides Bay. The village has a pub with restaurant and a five-minute walk leads to an enormous sandy beach, an ideal spot to join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
The above cottages will all be decorated for Christmas.
