As the festive season gets into full swing we have put together the Top 12 things to do and discover at Blenheim Palace in the countdown to Christmas. Festive Afternoon Tea

From 1st December, Blenheim Palace's Festive Afternoon Tea is a must-have for the festive holidays. The seasonal take on Afternoon Tea includes mince pies with cinnamon and brandy butter, Churchill chocolate cherry logs and Blenheim boozy Christmas cake as well as many more seasonally inspired delights.

Late Night Shopping

Visit Blenheim Palace, full of Christmas spirit, for their late night shopping event. The beautiful retail shop will be open late with tastings, mulled wine and carol singers. Find lots of Blenheim Palace's own produce and gifts for Christmas stockings. Outside the Visitor Centre, Estate-Grown Christmas Trees will be on sale, and younger visitors can enjoy meeting some special sleigh-pulling Huskies from the Siberian Husky Welfare Association. Children's author Mirjam Chappell will also be at the Palace, signing copies of her book 'The Magic Dodo: Tobey's adventure in Oxford' for the duration of the evening.

Festive Afternoon Tea Workshop

Presented by HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia and Serbia and Royal Butler Grant Harold, the Festive workshop will consist of a tour of the Palace dressed for Christmas followed by a presentation and talk on hosting the perfect festive Afternoon Tea as well as a flower-arranging demonstration by a Royal Florist. This will be enjoyed in the Marlborough Room while you sample a range of delicious sandwiches, crumpets, scones, cakes and mince pies.

Santa's Grotto

Visit Blenheim Palace's Pleasure Gardens by Christmas train to meet Father Christmas and share your Christmas wishes and receive a small present. There's a lot to entertain all the family with the magic of the festive season.

Lawrence Weiner Exhibition

This festive season is the last chance to see this must-visit exhibition. The extraordinary body of work from the founding figure of conceptual art, Lawrence Weiner, in 'Within a Realm of Distance' is displayed throughout the Palace.

Christmas Choirs and Brass Band

Listen to sonorous choirs and stunning brass band music this Christmas in Blenheim Palace. Singing hymns and playing Christmas carols, acclaimed choirs will enchant visitors as they tour around the Palace State Rooms and Courtyard.

Blenheim Palace Christmas Trees

Each year Blenheim Palace grows Christmas trees in the extensive parkland. Sustainably grown on the estate the trees go on sale on 28th November with varietals such as Norway Spruce and Nordman Fir.

Huskies visit Blenheim Palace

On 19-20th December a team of very special sleigh-pulling huskies from the Siberian Husky Welfare Association will be visiting Blenheim Palace's Pleasure Garden. Meet the festive team of pups and stop in Santa's Grotto too!

Sunday Jazz at Blenheim Palace

Extended Christmas Opening Times

This year Blenheim Palace will be open until 20th December for all visitors to enjoy more of the festive season at the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Blenheim Palace reopens on Saturday 13th February.
