Chiddingstone Castle near Edenbridge in Kent will be tempting visitors with their festive events throughout November and December.
Thursday 12th November - Christmas Fair 10am-3pm
This is the first of two Christmas Fairs to be held at the Castle during the festive season where Christmas shoppers can avoid the crowds and shop early for Christmas. A variety of stalls will be selling a wide range of gifts, decorations, home accessories, childrens' toys, books, clothes and delicious things to eat. Entrance: �2.50. Refreshments will be available in our tearoom throughout the day.
Sunday 29th November � A Victorian Christmas - Activity Afternoon 2-5pm
Get into the spirit of Christmas from the days of Dickens with Chiddingstone Castle�s Victorian Christmas event. The Castle will be open during the afternoon for Christmas crafts when visitors can make decorations inspired by 19th century Christmas trees and make traditional cards signed by dip pens. Learn the history behind our festive customs and walk round the beautiful grounds before listening to carols sung in the Great Hall followed by mince pies and refreshments in the tearoom. Normal admission applies to this event �6 adults and �4 for children over 5.
Thursday 3rd December - Hever Christmas Fair 10am-3.30pm
The well-established Hever Christmas Fair will be held at Chiddingstone Castle this year - all proceeds will be donated to St Peter's Church in Hever and Hever Primary School. There will be around 27 stalls selling a variety of gifts, clothes, knitwear and toys. There will also be a homemade cake stall and a raffle. Entrance: �3.00.
