With the holiday season approaching, Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London is preparing to draw its guests into a contemporary winter reverie, inspired by China's mythical traditions and romantic legends. Guests will be welcomed by a delightfully decorated grand Christmas tree designed by fashion house, Shanghai Tang and invited to indulge in a selection of festive menus created using only the finest British produce.
An Elevated Epicurean Festive Experience
Those seeking a reprieve from Christmas shopping or sightseeing can revive with Christmas classics over the month of December. TĪNG, the hotel's signature restaurant and lounge on level 35 will feature a four-course festive lunch and a five-course festive dinner menu including wine pairings for £40 and £65 per person respectively, including such seasonal highlights as wild mushroom risotto infused with perigord truffle and a classic roasted Norfolk turkey breast served with all the traditional trimmings.
TĪNG Lounge and GÕNG will both serve a delectable Festive Afternoon Tea with views over the wintery capital from 16 November to 31 December, featuring candied orange scones, chocolate yule log and Christmas macarons - with a Champagne option also available. The festive-inspired offering will be priced at £54 or £62 per person with a glass of champagne.
For those looking for the perfect epicurean festive gift, seasonal hampers will be available for purchase at LÁNG, the hotel's artisan deli and patisserie on the ground floor. Custom-made, the beautifully-presented festive varieties will be available in three sizes and can be pre-ordered from 15 November, available in-house from 1 to 24 December 2015.
Perfect for stylish winter nightcaps, GÕNG the hotel's destination cocktail and champagne lounge and the highest bar in London, has created an exclusive festive cocktail to celebrate the season. Winter Flip is a modern evolution of the classic Port Flip, blending smoky Johnnie Walker Black Label with Italian Barolo Chinata and a homemade cream; the perfect festive digestif.
Christmas Eve dinner at TĪNG
The ideal culinary destination for any occasion, TĪNG will serve a Christmas-themed five-course dinner menu for its guests on Christmas Eve, offering an array of favourites. From Stichelton Blue Cheese salad to Rhug Estate Organic Chicken and Chocolate Yule Log with gingerbread. Christmas Eve dinner at TĪNG is priced at £75 per person, or £120 with wine pairing and is a ticketed event.
Christmas Day lunch at TĪNG
The perfect spot for a leisurely, glamorous festive family lunch, TĪNG will serve a three-course Christmas Day lunch menu on 25 December, giving a choice of traditional seasonal favourites, or more Eastern delights such as Slow-Cooked Iberico Pork or Dover Sole with Miso. Christmas Day Lunch is priced at £170 per person, including wine pairing and is a ticketed event.
