Nestled at the foot of Monte Tezio, in one of central Italy's most beautiful valleys is the Chiesa del Carmine Organic Estate.  Now in addition to the lovingly restored 13th Church and it's adjoining 18th century farmhouse, truffle wood, olive groves and vineyards, we are pleased to announce the opening of our new Vineria del Carmine.  This 16th century farmhouse is located within the Estate and so is surrounded by the same stunning Italian countryside.

Since January 1st, our Vineria del Carmine has hosted wine tastings with our certified Bi-lingual sommelier and become the starting point for tours of the estate for tourists, local wine enthusiasts and wine professionals alike.  The volume of visitors has increased since our arrival at number 1. on trip advisor's ranking for things to do with wine in the Perugia area which has happened a result of so many positive reviews and comments by our visitors .   These tastings provide our guests the opportunity to learn about food wine matching, how we blend our red wines and the origins of the Carmine Estate among other things.     From the beginning of the spring, guests will return to the Vineria after truffle hunts on the estate to taste truffle products and learn more about the famous Tuber.  This will all be accompanied by the Chiesa del Carmine Estate wine's and a tasting of the Estate's organically certified extra-virgin olive oil.

Visitors have the choice of enjoying either one of two tastings options, a Classic tasting which includes a selection of the Carmine Estate wines with truffle bruschetta and a selection of truffle products including the ever popular truffle honey or the Superior level tasting, which includes the above as well as a careful selection of locally cured meats, olives and pecorino cheeses.  The delicious sheep and cow's milk cheeses are produced by animals who enjoy the exclusive use of Carmine Estate's pasture and are very popular.  Tours of the Estate normally last an hour and a half to two hours and guests enjoy learning about the challenges of organic farming, marvel at the pristine vineyards and farmland first hand while learning about the flora and fauna which makes the Carmine Estate valley so unique.
