Last night Chewton Glen reclaimed its place as Number 1 UK Holiday Hotel at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Travel Awards. The glamorous ceremony was held at the Ham Yard Hotel in the heart of Soho and this year's awards were made particularly special by Editor, Melinda Stevens who added her own sparkle as she hosted an evening of fun and laughter in an exclusive and intimate setting.

The Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Travel Awards are always important to Chewton Glen as these are voted for by its discerning readers. The hotel was delighted that this year's comments related directly to the team and are proud that it still stands firmly at the forefront in the UK hotel luxury market for outstanding service.

Chewton Glen's track record for excellence and its continuous success relating to awards goes without saying however; it has gone from strength to strength since the opening of the Treehouses in 2012. These have added a new dimension giving the hotel the opportunity to market to a new audience, in particular the family market. In August 2013, the hotel believed it hit an all-time high yet this year, it has exceeded all expectations.

It was a brilliant night all round as The Spa at Chewton Glen came a very respectable 5th place in the category of 'Best UK Spas' and was also highly ranked in the 'World's Top 100' listing. At another champagne reception across town, Chewton Glen's sister hotel, Cliveden House picked up 'Best Newcomer' in the latest Waitrose Good Food Guide. Only ten months after opening André Garrett's eponymous restaurant came straight into the guide at 18th place with a score of 7/10 amongst some of the top culinary names in the industry. Both hotels are owned by London & Regional Properties who are in the middle of a multi-million pound restoration of Cliveden House.
