Arizona's craft beer scene keeps on brewing, so much so that travelers seek out local brews while visiting new destinations just to get a taste of the area they are visiting. Mesa, Arizona offers a popular collection of micro-breweries with an array of drafts that are just as unique and refreshing as the city. With breweries in every pocket of the city, picking a favorite will be hard to do. On Main Street, an original cruising roadway from the 1960s, visitors can stop in at the new Oro Brewing Company. This Downtown Mesa taproom and brew house is separated by a large glass door and window providing guests with a peek at the brewing process right from their high-top tables. Downtown Mesa's first brewery, Desert Eagle Brewing Company, opened their second location in the city. In east Mesa, Lochiel Brewery is brewing up history with their prized collection of Scottish ales and malts based on heirloom recipes dating back 300 years. And, Mesa's newest hangout is Barrio Brewing Co. whose home-base is in nearby Tucson. Elements of Arizona shine on their craft beer menu that features Arizona citrus in their IPAs and signature Jefeweizen. Opening soon in Downtown Mesa is the city's first craft cidery, Cider Corps, paying tribute to the cider maker brothers military connections.

MESA'S BREWERY STARS AND STANDOUTS
Desert Eagle Brewing Company: In the heart of Downtown Mesa, Desert Eagle Brewing Company was one of the city's first owned and operated micro-breweries. IPA's are all the rage these days, however you can find many more options on tap here. Enjoy a Dunkel, Wheat or Porter while taking in the live music or belt out tunes on open mic night.
Oro Brewing Company: This Downtown Mesa taproom and brew house are separated by a large glass door and window providing guests with a peek at the brewing process right from their high-top table. Locals raved about their first brew, Batch #001, which was a mix of an English IPA and East Coast Juicy IPA.
Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co.: Almost right after opening, RateBeer.com fans gave the “World's Best Beer” nod to these bearded brew masters. Farm-to-bottle brewing is a focus here with Arizona-grown heirloom grains, organic peaches, grapefruit, beets and more making their way into their small batch brews. Even Arizona juniper and pine find their way into the brewing process.
The Beer Research Institute: Two Mesa home brewers deciding to create their own research lab. Belgian-style ales are B.R.I.'s specialty with memorable names like Top Secret Battle Monkey, Mjango Unchained, Peach Lolly and Fire Squirrel.
