Chateau Bouffemont will be offering a series of Master Class weekends, allowing guests to spend a few days receiving instruction from a highly esteemed professional in one of a variety of fields. Though the Chateau is usually only available to rent in its entirety, guests will be able to reserve just one room during these Master Class weekends. Spaces will be limited as the Chateau has only ten suites.
The Chateau's first Master Class will be hosted by Karen Tran, an internationally known American florist and event designer based in Manhattan. Karen Tran will host the Master Class on 14 & 15 May. The event already boasts participants from around the world and guests will learn to create tasteful bouquets of flowers for their homes, special occasions and events.
The second Master Class will see painter Eric Bourse, whose work will be exhibited at the Chateau Bouffemont as part of their Live-in-Art program. The artist will provide private, tailor-made painting lessons open only to guests at the Chateau. Eric Bourse will introduce his students to acrylic painting, his specialty, either individually or in small groups. His lessons will be suitable for beginners and experts alike, and will utilise Chateau Bouffemont's picturesque location and architecture to inspire the pupils.
The goal is for guests to develop their own style, as the avant-garde Bourse encourages creative freedom. The weekend will take place on 16, 17, and 18 May and rates start at 21000 EUROS per person, for the weekend, materials and all food and drinks are included.
Eric Bourse, a self-taught artist from northern France, uses acrylics to create highly emotional paintings that express everything from tranquility to suffering. The internationally celebrated artist has won first prize at the Salon de Lutece Paris, First Prize at the Art Masters competition in New York and the Gold Medal at the Salon International in Nancy, France.
