Charitable Travel Launch 'The Travel Insider Podcast' with Malta: More to Explore
Charitable Travel is today announcing the launch of 'The Travel Insider Podcast' – a brand new travel podcast series hosted by Laura Gelder, editor of Charitable Traveller Magazine. Each episode will share a destination's best kept secrets, hidden gems, and unforgettable experiences with listeners, inspiring benevolent travellers to book their holidays through Charitable Travel, whereby they can donate 5% of the cost of their holiday to a charity of their choice at no extra cost, reinforcing the message that travel can be a force for good.
Each 30-minute episode will provide an audio escape starting with episode one - Malta: More to Explore, in partnership with Malta Tourism Authority. Listeners can discover the beautiful islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino, as Louise Zammit of the Malta Tourism Authority and Clive Cortis, a local Maltese guide with over 17 years' experience, share their vast knowledge of the Mediterranean gem.
Natalie Swinburne, Trade Marketing Manager for Malta Tourist Office, UK & Ireland, commented “We are delighted to be the first destination to feature on Charitable Travel's TIPs podcast pilot. The Maltese Islands are a small archipelago, but we have a lot to shout about, including our fascinating history, adrenaline-filled adventure activities and delicious gastronomy. Charitable Travel are a fantastic travel company, enabling customers to book a holiday to Malta whilst donating to charity – a win/win for travellers in 2022!”
With travel restrictions lifting, commuting resuming, and two years pent up travel planning behind us, 'The Travel Insider Podcast' delves under the skin of a destination and provides the perfect escape to the humdrum of everyday life, through friendly, fun, and informative conversations with destination experts and locals. The series will feature news and topical information about the destination, including events to travel for, responsible initiatives and how you can #TravelforGood to that destination and give back to local communities.
Melissa Tilling, CEO of Charitable Travel commented “The Travel Insider Podcast series has been designed to create a new travel-planning experience to help inspire our subscribers and network of charity supporters. Following the successes of Charitable Traveller Magazine's story-telling, we're thrilled to be able to showcase personal travel stories, and highlight the great work being done by travel brands and charities across the world to our listeners as we expand our #TravelForGood offering.”
