Qantas has launched a new style of service in International Economy to ensure more choice, greater flexibility and better quality for travellers.
Personal touches such as hot towels, warmed bakery items and a wider range of snacks, including fresh fruit, juices and water on offer throughout the flight, will make the experience more enjoyable, whilst the number and variety of drinks being offered has been expanded to cater for regional tastes.
Ribena will be offered to those travelling on routes to and from London, cranberry juice will be served on flights to the US, and Lemon Ice Tea will be available on routes to China and the US. Australian Bundaberg Ginger Beer is now stocked on all flights, and a choice of still and sparkling citrus mineral waters will be available on flights via Asia.
As part of a new "Relax and Unwind" service, a choice of Cadbury�s hot chocolate served marshmallows and organic chamomile tea will be offered after the meal service.
Cabin crew will each be assigned to a �zone� of customers to help deliver a more personalised service and ensure individual customer needs are better met. Qantas has introduced Customer Service Supervisors who will ensure service standards are maintained throughout the economy class cabin, and a �relaxed� and contemporary crew uniform including caf�-style aprons.
Customers will also notice changes to inflight announcements with the introduction of new �conversational� announcements in a more natural, warm and engaging way.
