The award-winning Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel will switch its GDS codes to Concorde Hotels, the luxury hotel group that currently has a portfolio of 96 unique, deluxe hotels in 22 countries world-wide.
The switch, which takes effect from September 1, 2003, brings the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in line with its sister hotel, Capitol Tokyo, which already uses Concorde's GDS codes. It also enables both properties to enjoy a higher profile in Europe, where the Concorde Hotel Group is particularly strong.
To mark the GDS switch, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel is offering travellers special deals on room rates during September. These include standard twin/double rooms for 19,000 JP Yen and Superior twin/double rooms from 21,000 JP Yen.
Located in Tokyo's Shibuya district, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu is a 47 storey skyscraper that combines office space with an hotel and cultural facilities including a theatre and jazz club. Guest rooms are located between the 19th and 37th floor, with the top three floors designated executive high level security floors. All bedrooms have stunning views of the city and are equipped to the highest standard.
Since its official opening in 2001, the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel has built a strong reputation for its luxurious accommodation and for the excellence of its convention and meeting facilities. As Japan's first multi-carrier building, the skyscraper is equipped with the latest high speed telecommunication systems, which can be accessed from individual bedrooms and from any of the hotel's 10 large banquet rooms.
